I attended a WELI Breakfast networking event as part of the ASA conference and was able to connect with one of the world’s pre eminent perioperative anaesthetists who had been an inspiration to me for a long time.  I was able to have a one on one chat and she invited me to have an observership at her hospital as part of my upcoming sabbatical. The whole networking event was fun and relaxed and a great way to connect with inspirational women.
